Seminar Description
This training is open to all mental health professionals or social service providers. This includes Counselors, Social Workers, Marriage & Family Therapists, etc.
Purposes of this training are to raise awareness of human trafficking and to train and recruit individuals willing to provide pro-bono services to victims of human trafficking throughout the state of Ohio.
The training will include the following: the Definition and Scope of Human Trafficking, Trauma and the Impact of Trauma on the Victims, Trauma Informed Practice, Interviewing Techniques, Vicarious Trauma, and break-out sessions for specific approaches to counseling someone who has been a victim of trauma.
6.5 CEUs are being offered for counselors and social workers who attend this training, however CEUs are currently pending and may still be pending through and after the date of the training. We will have an update at the training on the status of CEUs, and while we are confident that they will be approved, we can not guarantee that they will be.
In addition to this, all scholarship positions are filled are we are no longer able to offer any free slots to anyone but students. Anyone who is not a student, but would like to attend will have to pay the full price.
